Junior Accounting Intern

About the role

As an accounting intern, you will learn the craft from the ground up in a digital environment. You will support our experienced consultants in day-to-day work and take on more responsibility as you grow into the role.

This is an unpaid internship focused on your personal and professional development. You get a steep learning curve, close mentorship, and hands-on experience from real client cases.

What you do

You get a broad introduction to life at a modern finance firm:

• Assist with ongoing bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations.
• Support clients' payroll processes and reporting.
• Drive digital workflows and streamline processes in systems like Fortnox.
• Prepare material for year-end closings and financial analyses.
• Support the team with administrative tasks throughout clients' growth journeys.

Who you are

We are looking for someone studying at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, with a genuine interest in accounting and business. We believe you:

• Have a solid theoretical foundation in accounting, ideally some practical experience too.
• Pick up digital tools and systems quickly.
• Are thorough, structured, and take ownership of your work.
• Thrive in an entrepreneur-driven, flat organisation where real responsibility comes fast.
• Communicate confidently in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
